Today in Japanese we had hilarious mock dates-with-intent-to-marry so we could use our new grammatical construction of doing things for  other people. I accidentally asked someone if they would kill  yakitori (grilled chickens) for me. I meant gokiburi (roaches).  They sound noting alike! How does one's brain confuse such things? I just had my most spectacular bike crash EVAR. I was returning from my doom of a Japanese test, unconcerned, la de la de la -- when I encountered a bike on the closed road between two buildings. We both turned to miss each other, but alas! we were not on the same page, I and he both swerved to my right and our front wheels connected!

Two! Two textbooks ordered, Ah ah ah.
And I am in loooooove with spinning. I've almost got the yarn-stuff coming out smooth.
I'm going to run out of white roving soon!

I've learned how to spin! Not only with my drop spindle but with a spinning wheel! It's been in the house all of two days and every time I walk past it I am compelled to stop and exclaim "OMG It's so pretty!"
